ClearCorrect Aligners – Fresno, CA
A Discreet Alternative to Traditional Braces

You might think your overcrowded or gapped teeth are more of an aesthetic frustration, but did you know misalignments can also harm your dental health? It can be difficult to clean them if they overlap, and wider spaces tend to trap bits of food and other debris, which attracts harmful bacteria that contribute to cavities and gum disease.
Fortunately, Dr. Weissich can provide a discreet alternative to traditional braces with ClearCorrect Aligners. Continue reading to learn more, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have additional questions.

How ClearCorrect Aligners Work

Unlike standard braces, which utilize metal brackets and wires to reposition your teeth, this method relies on a series of custom-fitted trays made from a transparent plastic material that fits snugly over your arches. They are designed to apply just the right amount of pressure to gently push your teeth into their ideal spots.
These clear aligners are removable, so they’re considered less intensive than traditional orthodontics, but you must wear them for at least 22 hours daily to prevent your teeth from reverting to their previous places. Then, we’ll provide a new set of trays for you to switch to every week or two to account for the ongoing movement of your teeth.
Who ClearCorrect Aligners Can Help

In many cases, ClearCorrect is an effective alternative to traditional methods, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best solution to meet everyone’s unique needs. Before proceeding, you must consult Dr. Weissich to determine that you’re a good candidate. There are three treatment paths: the Limited 6, Limited 12, or Unlimited options. After your exam, he might recommend one of these options to address the following concerns:
Overcrowding

If the surfaces of your teeth overlap, it’s harder to brush and floss them, which increases your vulnerability to concerns like tooth decay, gum disease, and physical trauma. Plus, you might feel self-conscious about the way you look or develop anxiety if you’re overly worried about being judged.
Thankfully, ClearCorrect can shift everything to its preferred position more comfortably than braces, while allowing your natural smile to shine through.
Gaps Between Teeth

Gaps in your grin can trap bacteria, leftover food, and other debris, which encourages unwanted germs to flourish. Closing the spaces with ClearCorrect can enhance your dental health and appearance simultaneously.
Bite Misalignment

If your upper and lower arches don’t come together correctly when you bite down, then you might have a malocclusion, or bite misalignment. This can wear down your enamel prematurely or cause TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders and aches.
This service can address concerns like slight overbites, underbites, and crossbites with the help of attachments, bands, and other accessories.
Benefits of ClearCorrect Aligners

All too often, patients think the benefits of ClearCorrect start and end with appearance. The truth is there are several noteworthy perks that come with this orthodontic treatment, including:
No Dietary Restrictions
With traditional braces, patients need to eliminate certain foods from their diet to prevent common orthodontic emergencies, like broken brackets. That’s not the case with ClearCorrect. Since the trays are removable and aren’t intended to be worn while eating, you don’t have to abide by any dietary restrictions. In fact, as long as you keep added sugar to a minimum, you can enjoy all your favorite foods!
Hassle-Free Dental Care
Another considerable benefit of ClearCorrect: you don’t need to buy any special oral hygiene products to keep your smile healthy. Simply remove your aligners before brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash. Then, before you put them back on, use a soft-bristled toothbrush and clear, mild dishwashing liquid that won’t abrade the material to gently scrub them.
Fewer Follow-Up Visits
With ClearCorrect, there aren’t monthly adjustment appointments. Instead, you’ll be given several sets of aligners so you can progress through portions of your treatment plan at home. Then, every 6 weeks or so, you’ll return to our office so we can make sure your teeth are moving as anticipated. If they are, then your check-ins might be as quick as 15 to 30 minutes!
Shorter Average Treatment Timeline
Many patients complete their ClearCorrect treatment in 12 to 18 months, which is considerably shorter than traditional braces. With that said, the length of your teeth-straightening journey may fall outside of that timeline – it depends largely on the complexity of your case and how well you follow the guidelines, like wearing your aligners for a minimum of 20 hours a day, every day.
Improved Comfort
It’s no secret that traditional braces aren’t the most comfortable. In fact, they have a reputation for causing soft tissue irritation and mouth sores. The good news is that ClearCorrect aligners are considerably more comfortable because they are custom-made to fit the contours of your teeth perfectly. As a result, your journey to a straight smile will be quite comfortable!
Cost-Effective
Many patients assume that clear aligner treatment won’t fit into their budget. However, some dental insurance plans include a once-in-a-lifetime orthodontic benefit. Plus, even if you are uninsured, you can space out the cost of your care into smaller, more manageable chunks with trusted third-party financiers like CareCredit. So, if you think ClearCorrect isn’t cost-effective, think again!
How Much Do ClearCorrect Aligners Cost?

It’s natural to wonder whether you can afford to straighten your smile with ClearCorrect Aligners, especially if your dental insurance policy categorizes this service as a cosmetic enhancement rather than an orthodontic necessity.
However, the pricing depends significantly on your unique situation, like the severity of your condition and whether your teeth move at the anticipated rate. Our team will gladly provide an estimate once we’ve examined your condition and have an idea of what it will take to achieve your smile goals. Then, we’ll walk you through the information for your approval before proceeding.
